Yesterday at my girls school I parked my car beside this high fence and snapped this date palm, heavy in fruit. Date palms are EVERYWHERE. As the dates ripen the Emirates tie bags around the dates, possibly to protect the date from birds and insects, but also to allow retrieval of the dates easy. You can buy branches of fresh dates in the supermarkets.
Today at school I discovered that the house behind the wall belongs to one of my ICT teachers, Shalama.
