My grade 3 and 4 students have been retelling stories. Drawing pictures using Kid Pix and writing captions. The grade 3 story was In the Jungle. An English professor, Professor Green builds a raft in the jungle to float down the river. Of course like Mr Archimedes, the animals jump on the raft and the elephant being last tips the raft up and sinks it.
There are some talented drawers in Grade 3. Just look at Professor Green and think wow. This wee sweetheart is not the best by a long shot....... The best news is that until I arrived they hadn't used KidPix or any equivalent so I think the work is extraordinary seeing they only have ICT 1 x period a week ... and they have to storyboard their pictures first. Long live creativity!

You must be thrilled with their efforts. I would be. How long is the ICT lesson each week?
Glad to see that they have avoided those bells and whistles things that nearly destroyed the delight of Kidpix.
Mr Green of course should have built a bigger raft or set a weight limit like Airlines do. And checked for Swiss Army knives!
