Al Shaheem is programme sponsored into Grade 10 - 12 by the UAE military, for Emerati students only. Every Thursday fortnight the Al Shaheem guys work with the students. I'm not too sure what the programme entails, however I do know a couple of weeks back the boys were handling guns etc. Hopefully there is some fitness stuff as the military and general health workers are really concerned about the decreasing levels of fitness and increasing diabetes in the general population, especially the younger generation The students complain about Al Shaeem, however they roll up in their pristine military uniforms and love their photos being taken. Emerati people are very proud, and on Al Shaheem days prouder still in their uniforms as you can see from this lad walking to class.
