Amongst us were a few hard core Kiwis who ensured that the rest of us haven't fogotten its Waitangi Day today. It is Sunday and we had to work as Sunday is the start of our working week, no holiday here or for you there.
Richard our Boys School MA played a wee video of 10 guitars through his laptop. Sheryl sent everyone a Kia Ora message. The hard core Kiwis have organsied a Kiwi Ball in Abu Dhabi this weekend, in a hotel that has a Kiwi chef. The food includes those Kiwi favourites pavlova, oysters etc etc. However Amy Winehouse has a concert in Dubai and Eric Clapton is playing in Abu Dhabi on that very night. So I'm afraid I have chosen man over country, and I'm off to listen to Eric with a group of Kiwi friends.
