Sheryl my friend I traveled over with, wants some "sensible" shoes for work, so last night we went on a shoe shopping mission. This is a Muslim country where many wear abyas. There is some colour and patterning in the abya around the cuffs and perhaps around the neck and front opening. Many have matching head scarves with bling around the edges matching their abyas, which looks beautiful. On their feet some wear the most gorgeous shoes, and the young girls JUST love the stiletto heels. The shoe shops are filled with the tallest heels in the window and inside the door, tapering off in heel height as you walk towards the back of the shop. The stilettos are around 10 cms, and the shoes in every available pattern and colour, especially fluro colours. Huge wedge heels are also another favourite over here. We are yet to find those sensible and comfortable work shoes. This mission make take some completion.

Those shoe shops in the malls are fantastic. Was in the Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi at end of March.
