You can take the girl out of the country, in this case 11,000kms out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl. Yesterday we went for a tiki tour and discovered the Al Ain market. Translation, the stock sale yards. As the photos show, lots of quite large stalls/ pens in wings. About 4 wings of goats, and then another four of sheep, and then bullocks and camels. Rows and rows of animals and not a lot of action I might add. No stock agents walking around on the railings, no loud voices, or yelling and no animal noises. Instead there were a few boys, squatting on the ground talking with each other watching over the animals I suppose. Or men sitting on those white plastic chairs talking. A few large Range rovers driving around and a car load of white Europeans being nosey. Not a lot of people around, not a lot of action, nothing like the sale yards in my day.
