The school day starts with an assembly. In the boys school it is split primary / secondary. The primary school has a musical component, eg they play music while the boys do exercises in class rows and they play a few chords at the end of each item. It's mostly the music teacher on his electric organ, however there is nothing like backing musicians.
Both schools have different assemblies. The girls are all together, with a very formal beginning. This involves a Koran reading, an oath and a saluting of the flag by three students from a different class each day. The secondary boys assembly involves a singing of the Koran, and the playing of the National Anthem. The National Anthem has two segments which I am sure are bars from Land of Hope and Glory
For fitness the boys stand in class rows and do a few stretching exercises. In the girls schools the girls also stand in class rows and their programme involves a series of 6 claps, turn a quarter turn 6 more claps etc, all to a musical accompaniment. At no point in both schools is there any exercise that would raise the cardio rate.

Ah, Jocelyn. You will just have to broaden your scope somewhat and introduce them to Jump Jam and Skip Rope for Heart activities.
