New dates

Suddenly the date palms are showing signs of bearing fruit again. The green fronds seem loaded with the new green fruit, currently about the size of marbles. From memory around early May last year the wee workers start tying bags over the fronds to catch the early ripening dates. From June onwards the dates start falling. Fresh dates, Yum.
Although being a connoisseur of dates, the fresh dates are not as nice as the ones that are about 2 weeks old. These dates have had time to caramelise, and are so delicious.

A date for a date with dates.
They are very easy to eat compared to the supermarket ones.
