We are back from our Kenyan safari. 8 days touring around in 3 game parks watching animals. This holiday was extraordinary. Each day seemed just the best, and yet the next day became better than the day before in regard to the animals we saw, the groups interacting eg the lions hunting, the harder to see animals eg cheetahs, or the variety, and the closeness to some of these giant beasts. I have put up a few animal pics, not the best at all as a taster, while I sift and sort through the 475 images and 50 something pieces of video footage.
Already we three are beginning to plan going back to Masai Mara in July to see the wilder-beast migration, the hunts and the chases, and the strategies of those most venerable. The company we traveled with also deserve a mention. 100% professional, faultless and working for us all the way. They made our trip, our trip, and ensured we saw the animals that we wanted, not necessarily those most visible and those most available. This was just one awesome experience.

Well, even if these are not the best pics (which is hard to believe) they are pretty magnificent. Love the one of the Lion King lapping from the pool. What a simply amazing experience!
Great pictures. Is it true that at the border you were stopped from bringing some of those critters home? Your response that they were just big furry pussy cats and would be no trouble on the plane was not accepted.

Does this mean you can tick off the Big Five? Isn't it amazing how long you can spend watching these beasts and not realise just how many hours have passed.
It's the peace and quiet of it all - soothing to the soul.
It's wonderful that you have been able to experience it all.
