Segway tour of Prague

I fell in love with segways tours in Paris and couldn't wait to introduce my family to the concept in Prague. There had been a light dusting of snow over night so navigation on the segway with snow tyres was game on! Tentatively they had a wee ride up and down the street outside the segway off, right on the end of the Charles Bridge and then we were off. For me the segway allowed me to see the touristy features of the city, the not so touristy places, and also allowing us to cover quite a large area of the inner city that you wouldn't cover by foot in 3 hours. Part way through we stopped at a Monistary where the Monks make wine. However as a Christmas special they also brew quite a strong, alcohol wise, beer for the Christmas trade. A nice interlude to warm the cockles of the heart. We all managed to crash at some point. James was most fortunate as his first slide in the ice was right beside a large party of Japanese tourists. While many of the group were ooing and arrring and smiling as 5 people segwayed passed, only 2 had their cameras out and able to catch the action. The not so touristy aspects include the smallest street in Prague. Pedestrian access is governed by a traffic light, seen here on green allowing for easy passage. I wonder if the traffic light also helped "guide" some of the patrons from the restaurant???
