What happens in a minute on the Internet

British International School has an ICT focus this year as they increase the infra structure to support the new hardware that is being purchased, and of course they are providing some professional development. It's amazing to think that way back in 1999 in my role with the College of Education, we were talking about the same thing. A 3 circle Venn Diagram, with the 3 components inter linking and inter related. Infrastructure, hardware and professional development. It's amazing to think New Zealand, isolated, but with a clear vision really is ahead in the field of ICT. Another very interesting point is who is actually driving this change and ICT direction...... Management. The vision and big picture sadly is not shared with the staff, and staff input is definitely not required or acted upon. This week we had Jeff Utecht, an inspirational speaker along to talk and work with us. His focus was blogging and as you know well I've been blogging for years. However I did learn one or two new tips and ideas. While all of this was happening I came across this photo below. Amazing what's happening in a minute around the world with the Internet.
