The day dawned. Mild, slightly cloudy and a moderate 29 degrees. As loyal subjects we were filled with enthusiasm and jubilation to be celebrating the Queen’s great day in our corner of the world. The Mall looked glistening and very regal as the citizens emerged through Admiralty Arch, past a Queen’s guard, and other representatives from the local population, to begin their walk towards
Buckingham Palace. The Queen was on hand, at the top end of The Mall to greet her subjects and to welcome them to
London and the Palace. The parents were also on hand to photograph their children beside the many iconic representations of
Britain that were set up in the foyer. The loyal subjects were dressed in British colours, many wearing crowns, and many bowing and curtseying as they passed her majesty. Currently the royal subjects are participating in various British activities including making pearl necklaces, making and drinking tea, coin rubbing etc. As the day progresses we will outline the next phase of the celebrations and include those patriotic photographs, so be sure to tune in.
