A friend sent me this photo taken recording the outside temperature in Al Ain today around mid day at 52 degrees. The temperature displays on the dash board of their car, and I hasten to add it's not the inside temperature of the car. These days when you get into the car, you leave the door open and turn on the AC. Initially its cooler outside the car than inside. Even with a sun sheild on the front window, the stering wheel of the car is too hot to hold. With the temps mow creeping into the early 50's, summer is deemed to have officially arrived. As one of the teachers at school said to me today "welcome to hell"

Take your word for it as I can't read the dial even after enlarging the pic. Still think you should try the frying an egg test.
