An update on the building around my apartment.
The apartment block across the road is now in skeleton form, and the construction workers are beginning to lay the concrete blocks for the walls. Yesterday a truck came and the men took away all the construction scaffolding. I imagine this new building will mirror my apartment block. 8 apartments total, 4 up and 4 downstairs, with the usual roof top for AC's and water tanks, and of course the invaualbe clothes lines.
On the "new street" outside our apartment block they have compacted the ground so much, laid the gritty sand, beleieve me I know as so much of it is in my apartment and now they are busy laying the cobblestone pavers on the road. The space between the roadside curbing and our apartment car ports looks like it will be paved as well.
And at the end of our street we have a dead end street sign. Talk about a posh neighbourhood now!

You will be pleased when the day comes that you do not track in so much grit and sand and the noise has finished. That street paving sure is flash. Sad about the view though.
Being the weekend and all you could forgo the Stevie Wonder thing (get a video) and do the Kiwi thing and lay the pavers. Finish the job.
Yes, very posh. Love the shape of the downstairs windows in the new block.
