I looked Sod’s Law up on the internet to make sure I had it
right. The definition stated that the principle that what can go wrong, will
go wrong, usually with some observed degree of irony.
This week we have the inspectors in our school. Monday morning only ¾ of the computers are
working with the application I was going use for my Year 2 classes. Having
checked them on Friday the little gremlins obviously got in over the weekend,
as they do!

With the technicians working flat out in my classroom they
managed to get a few more computers working in my class for the next lesson. No
inspector dared show their face in the door. By lesson 3 we had all the
computers working. May be the day will turn out well. Time for Year 3. They were learning about photography and
going into the playground to take photos of light and dark, black and white and
shadows for their science. No inspectors. Wouldn’t you know it, right at that lesson
time the sun becomes rather intermittent. In Ho Chi Minh city where the sun shines 99% of
the time and it is summer and as hot as, no sun. Sods law. Armed with what
photos we did have, the students attempt to download them into their files.
Sorry no permissions to do anything in children’s individual folders folder.
Damn gremlins again. Sort that out with the technicians. Last lesson . Everything
going well and about 30 mins into the lesson, enter inspector. She got lost
around the school and could only stay 15 mins. Sods law or should I just say Sod off!

What a bummer. However, perhaps just as well considering all the issues that cropped up with the computers throughout the day.
