Re enactment of Knights of St John garrison

Fort St Elmo is the huge fortress that stands on the Pennisular guarding the harbors of Malta and after the 1565 drive to protect the newly built city. The fort is very close to our apt so today we watched the re enactment and visited the War Museum as Malta was a strategic Island for the British and the Axis forces. Both items well presented and enlightening..
Malta is hot so we welcomed the respite from the heat. loving the history the culture and the people.

Actually visiting such places must make learning history easy. Geography too. Hope you're having fun as well.

Malta is an awesome place to visit. Their history is so rich. They seem to be always fending off foes or being under siege! Hope you get to check out the AV presentation and a visit to the old hospital. Warmth ... just a distant memory!
