Valentines Day is a BIG deal here in the UAE. There are devoted shops who sell roses, HUGE soft teddies, chocolates, etc etc. I've not seem as many large red happy valentines day teddies and vases of red roses both artificial and single stem freshly picked and other beautiful red gifts. Lots of the other shops have taken on the Valentine Theme and have their windows decorated accordingly. It isn't difficult to paint the town red at the moment. So was I overwhelmed with gifts, roses, chocolates and messages from anonymous admirers. Yeah right. If Valentines Day passed you by, like it did me, then here's cheers from an anonymous well wisher.

Nice to know you are back from your holiday. Valentine's Day was a non-event for me too.
