The wind is blowing for the first time since I have been in UAE, and consequently blowing up a storm, a sand storm. When you looked out from school the whole atmosphere had a grey brown colour, as the sand blew through. It reminded me so much of NZ on a grey day. The sand is not gritty as we know it in NZ, but is fine and very much like powder. EVERYTHING today is covered in a thick layer of sand in a matter of minutes. And the students, scatty and running around just as NZ students do on a windy day!
