We're experiencing rather heavy frosts, and general cold weather down here at the moment. Last week we had a run of minus 6 over night with the day time temperature struggling to make it to 7, and I'm sure it's going to get colder still. It is winter after all. On a particularly cold road trip a friend snapped these photos of the ice. Ice crystals growing as stalagmites and stalactites on the ferns and grennery, and the ice formations as water had once tumbled over rock wall. The prettiest sight were the frozen waterfalls in the bush. Breathtakingly beautiful, and that's what the atmosphere did, take our breath away. A few quick pics, back in the car and on the road again.
