Questions in science

My job requires me to work collaboratively with other curriculum advisers support and infuse e-learning and ICT into teaching and learning.I have been invited to work along side the science adviser.
This is a multipronged approach. Warren is working in the science area, collecting data on the types of questions children ask. As the term progresses will the children use more scientific language and will they ask higher order questions? My part is to support their learning by helping them to record their work, record their questions and their reflections. Initially we are beginning with text and photos on a blog before embedding podcasts to share their learning with their families and their community.
Warren and the children worked through a science experiment with toothpicks. Wow what a group of engaged students. As they talked they recorded their thoughts, using words like fibers, and expanding. Their questions were deep and thought provoking too. I'll ask their permission to link their site to my blog. In the mean time enjoy some fabulous moments of engaged students learning together.
