East China Sea or Far Sea or East Sea

A perplexing problem as arisen. China and Vietnam have been squabbling over the ownership of some islands  in the East China  Sea. As a result there has been a doctrine issued from the government to schools. All school books and documents  that have the words South China Sea written in them are to be covered over and replaced with the words Far Sea. China is not to be used in regard to this patch of water. Hence the words on this atlas have been processed by our assistant Vietnamese librarian. This doctrine has caused a further problem for the school librarian who ordered more atlas's from the UK over the summer. Remember we are a British School. The  order of atlases arrived in side the shipment of books. The atlases were removed and destroyed because they referred to the stretch of water concerned as South China Sea. No new books shall be in the country using this term.
Now this small quandry grows. Over the mid term break I rode on a motorbike from Hue down to Da Nang and stopped at a beach once known as China Beach. I referred to it as China Beach to be told unequivacely that the beach was now Sandy Beach. Said beach is to now be officially known as Sandy Beach. This gorgeous  beach has beautiful white sand, and our tour guides did mention the sand comes in on the tide from you guessed it China. However the official name for the beach is Sandy Beach.
