The Vietnamese women are stunningly beautiful and very thin. Western fashion has of course kept into and influences Vietnam dress. The younger set wear very tight jeans, which they do, so elegantly. Accompanying any outfit, short pencil shirts or tight jeans are always the stiletto heeled shoes. This gorgeous flower seller, perched on her plastic stool is so typical of all the stall holders, has a wee stall at the entrance to my local market, and what she lacks in height she sure makes up for it in the height of the heel and the depth of the platform sole. They wore tall heels in the UAE, so I'm back on my quest to find the perfect pair of shoes in Asia.
Walking in the perfect pair of shoes must be an art-form in itself. However walkers walking in these shoes on the pavements of Ho Chi Minh deserve medals, as they negotiate the broken roading, the potholes, the litter, the uneven surfaces the rubbish, the motorbikes etc. And as they go along the footpath each and every Vietnamese person does so with such style. Of course the older generation were modest clothing and flat jandal type shoes made out of bamboo. I can really relate to this group.

Lovely flowers -.not so sure about the shoes though. I wonder how comfortable they are and whether there are future foot problems in store for those very elegant looking ladies.
