Last weekend we had nor west winds whipping up the sand and blowing it around. This weekend there is very little wind but the atmosphere is very grey obivously filled with sand again. I snapped this pic at 4:30 pm as the sun had made an appearance through the haze,so the atmosphere had got a lot lighter. The photo is taken close to my house looking down one of the main roads. Sheik's head roundabout is in the background. Roads around Al Ain are 3 lanes wide each way, divided by a raised medium strip with date palms. It all looks very attractive, but not so today.
