You just have to eat it, don't you? Especially when one of the flavours is hokey pokey, my all time favourite flavour. Try explaining to the 9 Brits you are having brunch with what hokey pokey is.... and then damn it the ice cream we were served had no hokey pokey in it. Even the second helping I had. I had to try and find some evidence of hokey pokey.Today I joined Lisa and friends for a brunch to celebrate her birthday at the Bitexco Financial Tower right in the centre of the city. This is the highest, most modern building in HCMC. We were on the 50th floor directly underneath the heli platform. As you can see Bitexco is a very glassy building offering wonderful views across the city. Totally different, to the normal concrete structures built around the city to about 30 floors. At night the whole building is illuminated in beautiful vibrant colours, making it a spectacular wonder, seen as you can imagine, from afar. Surreal really.
The photo of the tower was taken outside Benh Thanh market, the large, market in HCMC. In my pic looking towards my place, top right is a low red roofed building, the same Benh Thanh market. As a by the by this sounds like the story of the 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins. This is the view the King saw and this is the view that Bartholomew Cubbins saw.
